Outreach Services Private Music Therapy

Jennie takes referrals in East/North Hertfordshire and West Essex areas.

I offer music therapy services to a wide range of settings including schools, nurseries, hospitals, care homes, residential services, community organisations.  Sessions will be based in the premises of your setting.

I can take referrals from individuals, parents, guardians, social and health service professionals and community or other groups.  There will be an assessment period of three sessions to determine whether music therapy will be an effective intervention and you will only initially be charged for these three sessions, plus one session for the writing and discussion of the assessment report – a total of four sessions charged for the assessment process.  Following a successful assessment and discussion with the person making the referral, ongoing sessions are typically offered in blocks of 8 weeks, invoiced on a four-session basis.  If you are interested in making a referral or self-referral, please use the details on the Contact Page to get in touch.

You’ll be asked to sign the Terms and Conditions document after our initial phone discussion and before the first session can take place.

"I am in my second year at college doing an Extended Diploma in Graphic Design, which I'm loving! I think that all those years making music with you in music therapy made me more creative and a better designer!"

"You can always tell when he’s had music therapy – he’s so much more engaged afterwards."

"We have been very fortunate that Jennie has been providing Music Therapy sessions to our groups for people with dementia for quite some time. These sessions are engaging, well thought out, and most importantly they are a really positive experience for our members who you can visibly see a great improvement in mood and how much they enjoy her coming into us. Jennie manages to get everyone involved despite working with varying degrees of memory loss from those who are very mild to those who are more advanced and ensures everyone leaves feeling included which I think is a testament to her."
