About Jennie

Jennie is a fully qualified music therapist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the British Association of Music Therapists (BAMT). She trained and qualified as a music therapist at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, City of London, in 1994. Jennie also has an M.Sc in Psychology of Education (with distinction) from University of London (1997).

Jennie has a very wide range of experience in education and early years settings including 18 years in an early intervention centre for children with special needs and their families. Jennie has particular interest and expertise in working with children and young people with autism, attachment difficulties and also those with physical disabilities. Jennie has also worked with community groups for people with dementia and in neurological settings with adults. Jennie held the post of Head Music Therapist with Hertfordshire Music Service for more than 20 years. Jennie has an enhanced DBS check for client protection.

Jennie plays the flute, saxophone, guitar and piano. Jennie works as a professional musician in ensembles of all shapes and sizes.
